Staying at the Harbourview
I sometimes wonder why people call things a certain name. This one is obvious. We came down to Sydney this morning to see the children's music lessons. Lots of fun. We had an early start and we had to get away from home by 5am.
It took an hour to find a car park here in North Sydney tonight as the hotel car park was full, the public car park across the road charges $69 to leave the car overnight and the rest of the place has one hour parks until midnight. In the end we drove around to a dimly lit back street where we could fit into a parallel car park with inches to spare ( I was driving and even got a thumbs up for my car parking ability) . We walked up some steps and hey presto, we were parked behind our motel so we are almost as close as their car park which , when not full, costs $20 per night. Highway Robbery!
We had a nice day visiting daughter number two and her lively family. They are growing up so fast and are very entertaining.
Note some ships don't fit under the bridge...there is an 8 carriage double decker train on the bridge as well as 8 lanes of traffic, 2 rail lines and bike and walk way. It is a really good walk across the bridge. Opera house behind the buildings on the left...
