A time for everything

The look of defeat.

A good day for my first day "alone". At church all morning. The choir was singing first and second services today, but then I went into the third service as there was a Cathedral childrens choir from Sweden singing. They were in town to sing at a choral convention, and they were being hosted by the Cincinnati Children's choir, whose director is a member of our church. They were very good. They had a female chaplain travelling with them, who said a few words, and at the end of the service said the benediction in Swedish, which was really neat, reminding you that we have brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world. After third service we had handbell choir practice as usual. Laura came down from university for the afternoon and we went out for brunch, then came back to the house and played several rounds of Big Boggle, then watched about the first half of the US/Canada hockey game before going out to watch a movie. We left the DVR recording, and came back to watch the rest of the game afterwards. It was a terrific game. The picture shows the despondent face of the US goalie, Ryan Miller after Canada had scored the winning goal in overtime.
