Red hot chili peppers

For some reason that I've been unable to fathom chilis cost a small fortune in NZ. It's certainly not because we can't grow them here as this blip of the chili plant growing in my backyard attests: perhaps I should set up shop as a chilli grower?

I've had great success with this cayenne chili pepper plant: although the chilis are scorching hot coming in at 30-50k on the Scoville scale (the chili pepper equivalent to the Richter scale ;-)).
