My old schoolmate does work for the Vine Trust, a Christian non denominational charity and has been to Tanzania 3 times helping local folks to build houses and an orphanage.
Last month he the Kilimanjaro trek for the charity.
He was guest speaker at our local parkinsons group today .
I can honestly say he was easily the best we've had in my time there.
You could hear a pin drop,no rustling of sweetie papers,and he showed slides and chatted for about an hour.
We have a Tanzanian couple who attend our group and they had to flee many years ago as they are half indian
