Feeding time at the Trailer

Today we went to Slimbridge again to see the birds and to meet up with Rob's cousin over from Australia and her son who works at Heston Blumenthal's Restaurant in London.

We had a lovely time catching up on lots of news, seeing the first Bewick Swan to arrive at Slimbridge this winter and wondering around in much less crowded situations than we usually find there.

This was feeding time at the pool just outside the visitor centre. The girl who feeds the swans, ducks and geese pushed the trailer out and then takes a big bucket off round the other side of the pool leaving the trailer and the rest of the food unattended.

These swans are obviously used to the system and know how to operate a self service cafeteria!SELF SERVICE CANTEEN
