Aerial view of London

I was sat in the flight deck for our arrival into Heathrow. After flying a holding pattern over Lambourn for three circuits we were guided into an approach over central London. Turning just to the east of the city, there were good views of the recently constructed high-rise developments and the Tower of London surrounded by a sea of red poppies.
