Did some redrafting during the morning /afternoon then finally made it out to the docklands again to do more work on the ongoing project. Another beautiful cool spring afternoon, the sea at Sandymount unusually calm, the sky mostly blue. Met an interesting man, Larry, who comes from a family of dockworkers. He was a crane driver till recently, when he went into management. He misses the work, the pleasure of exercising very specialist skills (apparently a good crane driver can make the difference between a well or badly run loading port). I'll certainly be back to see him again and hopefully take some portraits.

I stayed for awhile at the usual area near the paper terminal warehouse, then went to the Sea Link dock and remained there till it got dark. Then out to see mum in Dalkey then home with a Diep takeaway (Massaman prawn and Pad thai) to watch the latest episode of True Blood.

Some more from the docklands:

Sea Link Lounge

Dock Workers'' coats
