First small step

That is the plane to take me down to Heathrow before I head off to Almaty for the first month of my long stay in Kazakhstan.

I am really excited to be heading to a new country and a new culture for a while to broaden my horizons beyond the Western world. Think it may be a bit of a shock, but will get some amazing experiences, and be able to take some good blips (hopefully!).

I am typing this at Heathrow, waiting for the gate to be called to tell me where my next plane will be (direct to Almaty). I might stick up a wee folder of plane photos if I get some decent ones sitting here.

Going to have to fill in yesterdays pic when I get to Kazakhstan, I took a few nice photos on my SLR, which I won't see until there.
