Charity Auction

It's been a busy week, this event for Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital was an unusual but very effective way of raising money. Artists from around Scotland, including the author Ian Rankin, had painted works which which were donated to the Sick Kids Hospital and then they were able to buy them for £500 each. The twist being that you didn't know who the artist was when you bought the painting. In the past there has been pictures that have sold at auction for thousands of pounds after being bought for the flat fee.
