Nightfall over Inverness, and the BP garage, in Longman Road.
They forecast a dry day for Inverness... I was drenched by heavy rain for most of the seven mile cycle towards it. But the forecasters were correct. Whilst the sky was grey with plenty really gloomy clouds overhead at times (as above), Inverness itself stayed mostly dry.
Tomorrow is looking like a good day to take the car...
Not a carefully planned Blip, you won't get that here, but the subject does tie in with one item of news. The (Westminster) government has been getting on to the oil companies, about them not dropping their fuel prices as significantly as the oil price has fallen. Then again Westminster gains more in VAT whilst the prices we pay are inflated. So it's likely, according to this cynic, just a light ticking off for the sake of publicity.
(In the above Blip: regular unleaded - 122.9p and regular diesel 126.9p, both per litre. The lowest for quite a while)
