I Thought You'd Listen

To my reasons...

Yesterday, I tried in vain to get hold of a gas engineer from the yellow pages to fix my elderly father-in-law's boiler. I won't trouble you with the detailed responses, but suffice to say, I wanted to smack someone.

In the end I set up a British Gas service contract in my name for his property. They came out, fixed the problem, did all the check and were really patient with him.

Then believe it or not, his boiler packed in again today. They came out again to fix a different problem. Again cheerfully and patiently.

I know I've said this before, but as a society, we need to step up to the mark with our old folk. We'll all be there one day, hopefully.

We reap what we sow...
