A very rainy morning!
Raining when I left home, rained all morning and for about half an hour it was TORRENTIAL! Inside the Vulcan (XM569) cockpit you'd thing someone had turned a tap on behind the AEO's position, it was running down in a stream onto the box which is at the starboard jump seat.
Along the side instrument panels at both 1st and 2nd pilot seats it was dripping very rapidly from where the cockpit canopy joins the fuselage.
Not before time the restoration team have had a scaffolding company in to give a quote for scaffolding right over the top of the forward fuselage section so that where the canopy joins the fuselage can be sealed to stop the water getting in.
When that has been done we can start to tidy up the interior of the cockpit. Have to check with the owner first to ask how far we are allowed to go with any restoration!!
