Here comes the bride ...

This is what we sang and hummed as Robert and Finola arrived for their wedding, appropriately held in a ringfort on the fantstic Liss Ard estate. It was a humanist wedding, the ringfort decorated with candles and lanterns and us eight guests sitting around them in a semi-circle. It was a joyful and unique occasion, made all the more meaningful by the words they said to each other. Their happiness was palpable - just look at those grins!
Afterwards we walked to the sky garden and then on to a really delicious lunch in the big house. The house has been beautifully renovated - a big Victorian job but inside it's all white walls, splashy colourful modern art and squashy sofas. I remarked to Himself that if I was loaded this would be somewhere I would care to live.
It was a lovely day - warm, meaningful, special. How lucky we were to be included.
