A cold but beautiful sunset

First day of our school residential to Carleton Lodge in Thirsk.

At the point of taking this photo my group were trying to make fires in the wood and discovering how difficult it was! They did manage (eventually) to light the cotton wool ball they were using as tinder but unsurprisingly the tiny damp twigs they were hoping to use as kindle never took.

The way the temperature plummeted took us all by surprise! It was f-r-e-e-z-i-n-g! As the kids were gathering twigs I took the opportunity to put on another thermal layer and grab my phone to take this photo.

No heating in my block! I'm not one to wear a hat much but I'm so thankful that I grabbed it on the way out of the house this morning and have a feeling I will be living in it for the next couple days!!

The heating did eventually get fixed when the electrician came out. My heater will not be going off!!!
