Lights so Bright

I have been at the McManus Gallery's in Dundee today, it is free to visit and an interesting experience.

These lights have been made by David Batchelor.
Commissioned Dundee 2009
Made with 200 Plastic Bottles, electrical flex and low energy bulbs.
The materials he uses and the subject matter he explores are always rooted in the artificial and industrial manufactured world.
The shiny colourful materials are always contrasted by the mechanics of how the work is powered ie flex, junction boxes and Plugs.
It is so eye catching as you start to go upstairs.
