Bumped into Prancer...

The weather is horrid but it only highlights the lovely day we've had.

Stepdad John arrived for lunch. It's his birthday next weekend but David is away so we're celebrating a week early.

After lunch we headed out to the Antiques and Arts Centre at Abernyte. Spend an enjoyable hour wandering and perusing all the amazing stuff (and some utter guff) that they had for sale. Saw a beautiful antique ring that I suggested David could buy me for Christmas. He agreed till he saw the price. £16k!!!!! Take the K off the end and I might have been in with a chance. :))

Bought a couple of Christmas pressies that are quite unusual. Only little things but the fact that they're different and not mass produced makes me very happy.

Battled our way home through the black night and driving rain and wind. Now cosied in with the curtains closed, candles lit watching Strictly, with a pot of homemade lentil and ham soup simmering on the Aga and home made rice pudding in the oven.
