Regression
Elsa has definitely regressed. At home she wriggles and squirms to get out of helping with anything, she loses stuff and forgets important things. She needs guidance and help to get ready in the mornings because without the timely reminders constant nagging she gets distracted, time disappears up its own bottom and Elsa is no nearer being ready than she was when the whole agonising process started.
Once out the front door (usually with a coat forced upon her scowling frame) she's like a toddler: leaping about, gurning and generally acting the goat. Meanwhile in shops she constantly tries to weedle sweets out of me while chattering incessant nonsense in my ear.
Sometimes it's like her brain's fallen out, at others it's as though there's been a swap. She's hilarious and incredibly frustrating in equal measures and she makes me laugh and she makes me cry. I'm assuming this is a short term condition - hopefully it'll only last 'til she's about 25. So that's a mere 12 years left :-)
