Central Park, Cowdenbeath

One of the consequences of playing in The Championship is that visits to some of the less glamorous outposts of Scottish football are inevitable. Central Park Cowdenbeath certainly falls into this category. A football ground for a long time , it is also still a venue for Stock Car Racing, the track for which separates significantly the fans from the pitch.
Another reality check is that it is standing room only and that, coupled with incessant rain throughout the match, reminded me of what real football watching is all about. No clinical all enclosed stadium here!
The one plus point... we managed a 2-1 win.
Cowdenbeath FC are nicknamed "The Blue Brazil" . Why? Try here
