Is there room for me?

The starlings are coming every day and gather on the wires before descending into the garden to gobble up whatever food has been put out. They are in many ways fascinating, amusing and entertaining birds but they are also very greedy and give the smaller birds little chance once they’ve found the food. I put some food in ‘ starling’ proof feeders but it is amazing how far they can stretch their necks and beaks and just what a narrow space they can squeeze through.
