The Poppies

We got up and headed up to the Tower of London. We were there at a reasonable hour (I wouldn't say early, but by no means late), caught the opening of Tower Bridge as part of the procession / celebrations for the Lord Mayor of the city of London's parade, and then headed to the Tower. It was definitely well worth going to see. the number of poppies is staggering, and to think how they each commemorate a lost life. There was one hell of a crowd, all very respectful, and enjoying this very public piece of artwork that has definitely struck a chord with the populous.
