BANG!!! Made You Jump!!!

Rooting around a small corner of a cemetery in Edinburgh I came across this cross in a secluded corner. How interesting I thought and promptly snapped my blip for the day. For those who don't know, the One O' Clock gun that is referred to is located high above Edinburgh on the ramparts of our famous castle and Scotland's number one visitor attraction. It is fired every day except Sunday, Good Friday and Christmas Day at exactly 1300 Hours. It was originally designed as a time signal for the ships in the Firth of Forth. It may even have been responsible for the odd heart attack over the years because even though we hear it so often, it still makes you jump when it is fired. BANG!
