Agricultural Implement

Was walking past a farm today and came accross this implement which looked as if it had been pulled out of the shed in the background. It must have been in there for many many years if the tyres on the wheels are anything to go by.


Well if I remember correctly my father called this machine a dresser or seeder. The two boxes were swung round accross the way and filled with fertiliser or grain seed.When pulled by the horse or tractor a mechanism in the box turned and every second or so a seed would drop down into the ground. It was also used on grass fields to apply the fertiliser.
