Green Fields Of France

I woke up this morning with the June Tabor version of Green Fields Of France playing in my head. I tend to wake each day with a different song bouncing around but this seemed particularly prescient.

I had noticed that the local community centre had been preparing for Remembrance Sunday so I popped down there. I believe that under each sign (which has a village name) a poppy represents a member of that village that lost their life in either of the two major conflicts in the last century but I'm more than happy to be corrected.

A day for reflection, methinks.
