The Heat Is On

The weather took a turn for the worst today and we shot up to 36 degrees. I went across town to see my son play basketball and although it's a pretty new stadium there was no air conditioning!! Needless to say there were a lot of sweaty people!!

Back home by 2.30 and the plants in the rooftop garden were all in desperate need of a drink in the heat.

This is my flowering cactus which seems to have taken the hot day as a sign to shoot out lots and lots of these glorious buds! I'll blip them again when they open as they are really beautiful on the inside too!

Back down to a top of 25 tomorrow and raining, I can't keep up!!
