Chickpea's quote today needs some backstory. We read a children's book about a shark that didn't want to eat the other sea animals, just play with them (scientifically inaccurate children's books like this annoy me, actually, but the kids seem to like them). We then talked about how sharks were carnivores and needed to eat meat, that they weren't bad, just hungry. C took some time to process this and then came back later and said, "It's a bit good that there's predators in the sea or there would be too many small fishes."
