Jew's Ear Fungi

Took the dog to her favourite wood today for a couple of ours. It's also my favourite wood. The fungi was nicely back lit by the lovely sun today, especially as it's translucent. The name is derived from Judas Iscariot, who supposedly hanged himself from a elder tree which this fungus grows on. It is apparently edible when young, but I've never tried it as it is like rubber in texture.
