One step beyond

Another meeting in Edinburgh, another train, another walk up the painfully steep number of steps which are Fleshmarket Close.

For those who don't know Edinburgh, this vennel takes you from near the Market St exit from Waverley Station, up towards the top of Cockburn St, onto High St (Royal Mile). It may be full of steps which curse the knee but I love the vennels and wynds of Edinburgh's old town.

(I may even enjoy certain wee howffs which are squeezed in them!)
