Stocking up for winter

We took a walk up one of the nearby adjoining valleys this afternoon. The snow was soft and had melted in places, but there is still a lot of covering around. The tits were busy feeding on the bird feeders (swiss design) and seemed very happy there was so much food to be had. It was challenging trying to photograph them as they were never still for an instant, but this one looked mighty fine before he sped off and danced about the branches with his mates. (How does one tell if they are male or female?)
