I Felt Naked....
...I felt like I'd lost a limb, it was terrible!
I went into town to the Remembrance Service at the Cenotaph in St Peter's Square. There were hundreds and hundreds of people there, young and old. It was all very moving, but it was when everyone marched past that I welled up...especially when the pipers piped. I love a marching band.
I met up with Kath and Chrissie and we mingled amongst the masses taking pics before wandering off for a sandwich and a drink. Then we walked and walked, took pic after pic and laughed until we (well me really) nearly wet ourselves. We did Harry Worth shots in Spinningfields, the obligatory 'Chrissie knob shots' on Market Street and some absolutely whacko shots that words cannot describe (Chrissie you know which ones I mean!). My leg was about to fall off so went went for tea and cake...Kath was wondering how long I can keep using the excuse that my leg needs cake!!...a bit longer methinks (certainly until next week LG!!!).
Kath had to run for her train, but Chrissie and I stayed in town a bit longer and we ended up in Jessops. I decided to leave my camera with them to have the sensors and the body cleaned...it was well overdue. I left it with them and off we went for half an hour....it was terrible. I missed the heavy weight on my shoulder. I missed the button for my finger to to be primed over. I felt that part of me was missing, I always have a camera with me and it was like walking around naked!
I have my baby back now....all clean and shiny...and I am a happy bunny :)
A few more pics here
I was overwhelmed at the response to yesterday's pic....thank you so much everyone for sending it into the spotlight, I've never been so high up the table.
