"Open Doors" day out
Today we headed out to meet up with E&R&J&G as we had decided to go to a couple of the Open Door events. First we headed up to the SnowSport centre for a chairlift ride up the hill. The view from the top was ok - it would have been great if the sea mist hadn't rolled in the night before. CJ and J didn't really look at the view - they were more interested in rolling down the hill!
We then headed out for a quick lunch before the next stop - the fire station. However, sometimes things don't go according to plan. All the little boys were fast asleep when we arrived at the fire station, so we decided to keep driving to ensure they all had a decent nap. This however, proved to be a lot more entertaining than it should have been as we got further out of town (driving on some of the best roads we have found since moving up here) we realised my car had no fuel... It was then a waiting game to see if we got to the station before we ran out of fuel.
Luckily we arrived in Pebbles before running out of fuel, so we filled the car and then headed to a lovely cafe/chocolate shop for afternoon tea before letting the boys have a run at the playground. As they were having so much fun we decided to skip heading back to the fire station and just let them play there for the rest of the afternoon.
