St Mary's Island - walking on water

Had a great walk on a glorious day with wonderful light. It was very busy here but the tide was coming in. We paid attention and returned to the mainland just as the sea was lapping at the causeway. But people were still going out to the lighthouse!

If you look closely you will see that as everyone is leaving the island, there is a family of seven who have turned back. They looked at the water and decided not to get their feet wet, then another couple appeared! I have no idea what happened to them but they were cut off until the tide turned - it would be another five hours before they could get off the island and it would get dark and cold!
