Is it worth it?

There are 19 steps up to my garden and 14 steps down from my first floor flat! I have just made 3 trips carrying two watering cans up and down the steps. The hot, sunny weather is a mixed blessing.

My runner beans don't seem to be doing anything, the nicotinas have disappeared and the lupin has been munched by snails.

Every year this happens, I plant stuff and imagine a "riot of colour" and I am always disappointed. I don't think I have inherited my mum's green fingers (see My Mum's Garden, a few blips ago)

Anyway I shall persevere, at least the watering is good exercise!!
