A bit of sun first thing, just enough to tempt me to hang out some washing before the showers arrived. Then a break for a quick walk.

This and its partner open and close the sluice gates at the end of a lake. This shows the stillness one side whilst the water roared through and out the other. From this, you can tell that a great deal of rain has fallen here recently.

Now back to the fire and a drink.
