Monkey and me
I get this view quite a few times a day - and night - and I love it! I really wasn't sure before Monkey was born how I'd get on with breastfeeding though I knew I wanted to try. Luckily for me Monkey took to it straight away (apart from the day when she was fed by a tube). It hasn't all been plain sailing and there have been times when I've thought about stopping - when I got a blocked duct, when it felt like all I did was feed her, when I got overwhelmed that she was so dependent on me and don't mention the cracking - but it just works for us. Especially now she goes much longer between feeds in the day and is super efficient. Don't get me wrong I miss wearing nice bras and dresses but have found outfits that work for us - mainly a nursing vest then my usual tops. I don't know how long I'll continue once we start weaning but at the moment the thought of faffing around with sterilisers and bottles makes me think for as long as we can. But don't worry I'm not going to carry on until she's a toddler!
Not a bad day - the fella went over to his other house for more finishing off (which didn't go as planned as he ended up fixing a leak instead!) so me and monkey chilled out then met my mum and dad for cake and coffee (another benefit of breastfeeding is I don't have to worry too much about what I eat and the weight has fallen off).
