Golden Leaves

on this very wet and grey morning. Apart from a walk and visit to the Library to request the new Andrea Levy, Six Stories and an Essay, I am having a deliciously quiet day. I'm the first on the request list. The Library provides such a good service, I have been the first or nearly first reader of many brand new books over the years, all for the princely sum of .75p per request. Bargain!

Many thanks for all your good wishes for a quick recovery from the cough. No signs yet of that, but this is only the third day, and I have a, so far - only started lat night -good book. The latest from Elizabeth Gilbert, of Eat, Pray, Love fame; this is a novel The Signature of All Things. Big book, picked up an almost new hardback from a charity shop for £3 a few weeks ago. Another bargain!
