GOOD WORKMANSHIP

The mark of a good workman, to me anyway, is the way he finishes off a job and the way he cleans up when he has finished.

As you may remember, our next door neighbours have been having their drive relaid and Gary, Jack and Jonny have done a brilliant job. Lyn wasn’t happy about them being here yesterday - it being a Sunday and there was likely to be quite a bit of noise, so they were back today, in the sunshine, to finish off.

I thought you might like to see the almost-finished drive - and here is Jonny painstakingly chipping away at the bricks so that the manhole cover matches up perfectly with the rest of the drive.

We have enjoyed having some banter with them when we went out and if ever we need our drive done, we will certainly call them before anyone else.

They are working round the corner and said when we came in today that they already miss Lyn’s chocolate biscuits, bacon rolls, burgers and French fries - if you had it all the time lads, it wouldn’t be special!
