Cedar
Some very damp cedar wood creating some interesting abstract shapes and colours. Not much time for photography today - very dull and wet all morning and the afternoon spent with the worst of Irish bureaucracy.
A new photo card has been introduced to cover all welfare services. I had an appointment to have my photograph taken and prove that I am who I say I am and not another person. I sometimes have doubts about that myself so I was not over-confident.
75 minutes after my arranged time, after waiting in an overheated, under-ventilated and very crowded small room with only 4 chairs for 13 people, I was called into what was little more than a cupboard to be processed.
I was asked
"What is the name of the town where you had your first job?";
"What month was your eldest child born in" and
"What was your Mother's Mother's maiden name?"
I failed the last one and passed on another I can't even recall now. And I have to give identical answers on the phone to activate the card when it arrives
"The questions will be in Irish" I was told "But just wait and they will be repeated in English". So that's something to look forward to!
