Went to BaiLin Si, a Buddhist monastery south of Beijing, with some teachers to recce it as a possible venue for a retreat for students learning Chinese at the school. Amazing and huge place, and we were lucky enough to meet the abbot. Could have chosen a few photos for this day- we were up at 7am and had the run of the place before visitors arrived- but went for this one, taken in the main hall which has 14,000 buddha statues.
