Ravines of the Anaga

We started our walk wearing rain jackets as we traversed the cloudy rainforests across to Chinamada down slippery tracks. It was incredible to see the ingenuity of the locals who had made thousands of terraces on which to grow a few crops.
In this region roads were first built in the 1960s and 1970s and most houses only had access to electricity about 20 years ago.
