Good News!

At last I have found something to enthuse about in Poundbury (Dorchester) Dorset. A butcher shop has opened just around the corner from Mini Waitrose. I was very impressed with what I saw. They have venison, Pheasants, rabbits, little chickens and dirty great big ones together with the usual range of pork, lamb and beef.
There is a tantalising display of delicatessen items and an interesting assortment of cheese. Not only was everything clearly labelled, I found to my delight that the receipt itemised all the ingredients in the faggots that I purchased and also stated that the shin of beef came from the herd of a local well known farmer on Duchy land close by Maiden Castle Hill Fort.
Tomorrow we will have the faggots for supper and I will cook and freeze Jamie Oliver's recipe "Melt-in-your-mouth shin stew.
I am in raptures and will dive in there again next time I visit my daughter.
