There's some part of me that doesn't feel satisfied unless I've taken a picture of someone. I like the challenge though I don't always get up the nerve. What surprises me is how people respond - sometimes incredulous that I would want to take their picture, sometimes with ease. Sometimes there isn't a really easy way to strike up a conversation, and that poses its own issues.
I think though that I want people to have control over the way they are represented - some do this naturally, others less so. It seems like a worthy dialogue to have with a subject.
