Great Crested Grebe at Alice Holt Forest

We decided to go to Alice Holt Forest near Farnham in Hampshire today - it's fairly local to us but it's a place neither my wife nor I had visited in a long time. It was great fun, if rather muddy in places.

This picture is of a couple of Great Crested Grebes by the Loden Pond (I think I've got both those facts right). They were rather camera shy so it was time to bring out the big guns - the 120-400mm Sigma. I've had mixed results with this beast when photographing wildlife, but I was rather pleased with this rather heavy crop of these two beautiful birds.
