After the Rain

During the night we woke to the sound of rain falling on the roof. Maybe it woke us because it has been so notably absent for the last several months. My husband reported about 1/2" in the rain bucket outside. The plants looked especially pretty this morning, with the sheen of the rain still clinging to them. As far as I can tell, this is a Chinese Lantern or Chinese Flametree. The seed pod is delicate and very paper-like, and the droplets added to the image.
