Genoa courtyard
BIG Leaves
Our last day in Genoa, but we had until lunchtime to make the most of our trip. Whilst wandering around photographing the exterior of a church, a local resident pointed and spoke to us in Italian. We had no idea what she was saying, but she notioned for us to follow her. She unlocked a gate which allowed us access into this beautiful little courtyard, one of of the oldest in the city she then told us (in English). She then left us, and told us to pull the gate behind us to lock it. There were plenty of columns and arches which I photographed, but this back lit plant as the foreground rather caught my eye. ........ and now the fight home, back to reality.
