River Ganges: Aarti Hindu Ceremony

A long day today beginning with a flight to Varanasi. I had no idea what to expect. I’m still recovering from the assault on my senses! What a fabulous day. The city is like nothing my words can describe, a hub of industry, noise and colour.

This blip is of the Aarti ceremony on the Ganges River. A Hindu ceremony to celebrate the River Ganges. It was spectacular and choosing a blip has been incredibly difficult. I hope I have chosen one to give you a flavour of the River. It is truly amazing.

Just a brief blog as I have to be up at 4.00am for sunrise on the Ganges and to watch the funeral pyres.
