Greenhill remembers....

At 11 o'clock on the 11th day of the 11th month.....Greenhill Primary School in Wakefield remembered all those who have laid down their lives to protect our freedom.

The children have all made clay poppies over the last couple of months and this morning some of them were placed in the beds outside the school ready for a rememberance ceremony. I was lucky enough to get some more time off work so I could do - they looked amazing, the children were perfectly silent at 11, some of them read their poems out - and Look North turned up to film it all. Have just seen a few seconds of it on the evening news!

So well done to all the staff and pupils at Greenhill for a very special day - just hope Charlotte's poppy gets home in one piece tomorrow!
