'We are making a new world.'
Paul Nash was a war artist in the Great War and this is his most famous work. It is a devastating comment on that war. I looked at it again tonight on Remembrance Day after watching a poignant programme on teenage boys who went to the front line. Although he was older my great uncle died on the first day of the Battle of the Somme, like so many others.
