Castle Valley
Southern end of Castle Valley in southern Idaho. It's very quiet right now. Usually bird calls wake us up. Alot of birdwatchers make the trip here because there is a wide variety of birds.
My favorite is the nighthawk. They do spectacular booming courtship dives. Air rushing through their feathers (usually males) produce the booming sounds. Mid June you can hear their sounds all night long.
