Barking up the wrong tree

Took a wee wonder after work, I was taking snaps of the trees around the office. I've always liked the patterns of the bark and all the bits and bobs that grow up, around and on them. These caught my eye because of the striking colour of the bark and the way it peels off. I'm not a botanist but I think it's a silver birch.
