movie tuesday..

..and today we sat in a relatively packed (12 as opposed to the usual three or four) cinema and watched this fantastic film Pride.
Based on a true story and set during the miners strike in 1984/85 Britain the story tells of a group of London based gays and lesbians who raised funds to support a small mining village in Wales.
Needless to say an unlikely combination!
Great film in the tradition of The Full Monty and Brassed Off.

And in our now established tradition of having lunch somewhere from the film's theme, we had sausage and mash and a beef and Guinness pie at a nearby pub.
